Is Beyonce Almost Finished With Her New Album?

'I probably won't get on this album, but hopefully the next one,' singer/songwriter Sia says of song she pitched for Beyonce's new album.

As Britney Spears and Lady Gaga gear up to release new albums, there's another pop heavyweight who may offer them some friendly competition: Beyoncé. Details surrounding the singer's next album remain scarce, but according to a few of the project's collaborators, Bey is almost finished recording the follow-up to 2008's I Am ... Sasha Fierce and has managed to hit the studio with an extensive list of producers.

After gushing about her high hopes for working with Beyoncé, Australian songstress Sia revealed that she told B's behind-the-scenes team that she wanted to lend a creative hand for the new album. "So I just said to all the producers, writers, everyone, help me make this happen, and then Diplo e-mailed me and said, 'where are you in the world right now? would you be interested in flying to New York? I'm writing with Beyoncé,' and I was like, 'Yesss!' " the singer told MTV Australia.

Despite Diplo's offer, Sia said she was unable to fly out because of schedule conflicts, but is in the process of pitching songs to Beyoncé. When asked if her submissions were for Beyoncé's forthcoming LP, Sia said, "Well, there's only one song left for this album, so I probably won't get on this album, but hopefully the next one. That's my dream, that's my goal."

Sia isn't the only collaborator that has suggested Beyoncé is close to wrapping up studio sessions for the project. Sleigh Bells have confirmed working with the singer, but are weary on whether their work with the songstress will make the final cut. Speaking with NME.com, guitarist Derek Miller admitted, "I actually have no idea if the collaboration will ever be released."

While Miller remained tight-lipped on details regarding the song (or songs?), the Sleigh Bells bandmate confessed that the collabo is just one of her many musical partnerships, saying, "Beyoncé works with whoever she wants to work with, probably 30 or 40 producers. It's a totally different world from what I'm used to. So for me, it's just exciting to hear something that I worked on but I can't really say any more than that."

Sia and the Sleigh Bells join a long list of other collaborators who have been tapped to work on Beyoncé's new album, including Ne-Yo, S1, Jim Jonsin, Sean "The Pen" Garrett, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

Robert Pattinson's Not Suiting Up For 'Daredevil' ... Yet

The 'Water for Elephants' star said he fears fanboy backlash when it comes to superhero movies.

Imagine Robert Pattinson in tights, fighting crime as an iconic character. While the heartthrob would undoubtedly have the Twihards lining up for days to see him play a superhero, he thinks there's one set of moviegoers who wouldn't be nearly as keen on the idea: fanboys!

During Friday's "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," a live, 30-minute chat with the "Water for Elephants" star, RPattz revealed he would, in fact, take on a superhero role if it were presented to him. "I'd love [to] definitely."

But the actor does have some reservations about taking on the genre, including which superhero he would play. "I don't know what superhero you'd do. Is there any left?" he asked.

Robert did, however, admit that there's one character he'd like to suit up for, but he gave pause when he realized what a stir he might cause by even mentioning it.

"I shouldn't even say this stuff, 'cause all the little fanboys will be like, 'No! I'm gonna shoot him!' " he joked.

So, while we may never know which character Robert is "such a big fan" of, we do know that he's not yet in contention for the role of Matt Murdock in "Eclipse" director David Slade's upcoming "Daredevil" reboot.

"I don't know where that one came from at all," Robert said of the rumors that he was lined up to play the comic book vigilante. But, that wasn't the only thing he found confusing about the future remake. When MTV News mentioned another "Daredevil" was in the works, Robert asked, "[That] Ben Affleck movie?"

He then pondered with a laugh about the 2003 flick, "That's weird, didn't that only come out about three years ago?"

The 24-year-old star did have some casting ideas of his own. "Get David Slade to play him," Robert said of his former "Eclipse" director. "Oh no, he should play, who's the bald guy? Bullseye!"

'Glee' Stars Stayed Up All Night For 'Thriller' Cover

'It was probably one of the most physical numbers that we've ever done,' Cory Monteith says.

When "Glee" returns from hiatus in the high-profile post-Super Bowl slot, it's returning in a big way, covering Michael Jackson's "Thriller." On Tuesday, the cast spoke to "Access Hollywood" about remaking the iconic tune, which will reportedly be mashed up with another yet-to-be-revealed hit.

"It was a huge production. We we're shooting that until 6:30 in the morning," Cory Monteith told "AH" at the Television Critics Association press tour. "We shot all night, and it was probably one of the most physical numbers that we've ever done. I was lifting Naya Rivera at one point in the dance. It was really active. We had the whole USC band wrapped in to this number as you can see in the photos. It was awesome."

Photos of the cast filming "Thriller" surfaced on the Internet recently, depicting a prom night-turned-zombie affair. Jackson's tune is just one of the many hits to be covered in the broadcast. Other songs featured in the post-Super Bowl episode include hits by the Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry and Lady Antebellum.

Kevin McHale revealed that Jackson is his "favorite artist ever" and that he has been continuously requesting to cover a tune by the late King of Pop. "I've been pushing very obnoxiously for a very, very long time, so I'm beyond thrilled that we do Michael Jackson," said the actor.

Like the iconic music video, the "Glee" cover was an extravagant production, which was fitting for star Dianna Agron, who couldn't help smile throughout filming.

"The whole night, everybody kept saying, 'Why are you laughing so much? Why are you smiling so much?' " she said. "I was just in my element. I was in huge makeup, huge hair, huge costume, the stuff that I loved the most, which is why I loved 'Rocky [Horror Picture Show]' so much."

Matthew Morrison isn't in the number, but he watched it being shot. "We actually shot it, like, a couple nights ago," Morrison told "AH." "I actually went out to see it. We shot it in Long Beach and at a high school that we used their football field at. It was stunning. It's so weird with this show. We keep outdoing ourselves. It's like, 'What is there left to do?' This number is just fantastic."

What other MJ songs do you want the "Glee" cast to tackle? Share your ideas in the comments!
