It didn't take long for the big winners at Sunday night's Grammy Awards to get an iTunes bump. Less than 24 hours after the show, the iTunes singles and albums charts were flooded with songs that were either performed on the show or which won awards during the program.

At press time on Tuesday morning (February 15), the iTunes singles tally was topped, not surprisingly, by Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," which got its televised debut during the show, followed by Dr. Dre's "I Need a Doctor," which Eminem and Dre (making his first televised performance in nearly a decade) also performed on the show.

Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" was at #3, followed by Cee Lo Green's "F--- You," which was one of the most colorful and bizarre live spots in the three-and-a-half-hour show thanks to his outer-space Henson Puppet band and a cameo from a sultry Gwyneth Paltrow.

Mumford & Sons also got some iTunes love after playing on the show with folk legend Bob Dylan, which helped their song "The Cave" hit #5, followed by the night's big Grammy victors, Lady Antebellum, and their Song and Record of the Year winner, "Need You Now."

Although she didn't perform "Firework" on the Grammys, Katy Perry's anthem hung in at #7, ahead of Rihanna, who had two shots onstage at the Grammys. Her "S&M," whose video is the subject of legal action, came in at #8, with Bruno Mars' "Grenade" and non-Grammy performer Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell" rounding out the top 10.

Just outside the top 10, there were plenty more Grammy bumps to be found: Cee Lo's censored "Forget You" (#11), Mumford & Sons' "Little Lion Man" (#12), Muse's "Uprising" (#20), Rihanna and Drake's "What's My Name?" (#21), Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" (#24) and Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" (#29).

The iTunes album chart told a similar story, with Mumford's Sigh No More holding on to the #1 slot, followed by Bieber's Never Say Never remixes disc, Album of the Year winner the Arcade Fire's The Suburbs was back in play at #3, proceeded by Grammy performers the Avett Brothers' I and Love and You at #4, with Best New Artist Esperanza Spalding's Chamber Music Society climbing to #6.

Other Grammy album action included: Lady Antebellum's Need You Now (#7), Bieber's My World 2.0 (#8), Eminem's Recovery (#9), Rihanna's Loud (#10), Florence and the Machine's Lungs (#11), Bieber's My Worlds Acoustic (#12), the 2011 Grammy Nominees compilation (#14), as well as albums by the Black Keys (#17), Muse (#19), Bruno Mars (#21) and Spalding's 2009 Esperanza release (#28).

Adam Sandler's Box-Office Victory Over Justin Bieber Explained

Experts weigh in on how 'Just Go With It' beat 'Never Say Never.'
By Eric Ditzian

Contrary to Bieber Fever-induced speculation that "Never Say Never" was going to gross seven gajillion dollars this weekend, Justin Bieber's 3-D concert flick fell just short of the #1 box-office spot.

Instead, Adam Sandler's weakly reviewed rom-com "Just Go With It" came out on top, with the film's estimated $31 million haul just besting the $30.3 million that "Never Say Never" took in. Both films deserve B.O. kudos, but the question remains: With a rabid fanbase and a premium ticket price, why didn't Bieber's movie do better? After all, "Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" opened in 2,400 fewer theaters in 2008 yet managed to open with $31.1 million. So what happened?

"I think two reasons why Justin didn't beat Miley were that the 'Hannah Montana' movie came at the beginning of the 3-D boom, so it was more of a special and rare event," Gitesh Pandya, editor of BoxOfficeGuru.com, told MTV News. "Plus it was promoted as a one-week-only run, so fans felt there would not be another time to see it. In addition, tickets were $15 each for Miley where they varied across the country for Justin but were mostly lower."

There's also potentially a gender-based explanation, according to Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations. "Tween girls showing their 'love' for another girl is widely acceptable, because at that age, they are more than likely to have mostly girls as friends," he said. "As a tween-ager, often admitting you like boys is still a bit of a taboo, which makes the nearly $30 million debut of Biebs all the more impressive."

The "Never Say Never" audience, it should be noted, was 84 percent female, according to Paramount's exit data. "Just Go With It," meanwhile, appealed to a vastly different demographic. So the two films didn't suffer from audience cannibalization. The truth just might be that $30.3 million, at this point in time, is as high as "Never Say Never" could ever go. As Bock put it, the movie "definitely maxed out its box-office appeal over the weekend."

That being said, it remains impressive that "Just Go With It" — which received a measly 18 pecent freshness rating at the Rotten Tomatoes review aggregator — was able to notch a $30 million-plus opening. To begin with, while it didn't benefit from premium 3-D ticket prices, Sandler's comedy debuted on about 700 more screens than "Never Say Never." And though Bieber is new to Hollywood, Sandler has become one of its most reliable brands.

"Reviews are irrelevant in Sandler's world," Pandya said. "He makes formulaic comedy vehicles that are easy to digest and require little thinking and a lot of people like that sort of thing. It's the same formula for hit sitcoms but used in a multiplex. Say what you want about his talents, but the man has had $100 million hits in 10 of the last 13 years and has accomplished this without doing sequels, even though it seems he plays the same guy every time."

Justin Bieber's Next Album To Capture Justin Timberlake's Magic

Songwriter Sean Garrett says former 'NSYNC star's success inspires Bieber's new project and also dishes on Beyoncé's album.

Justin Bieber may have declined the chance to join Justin Timberlake's label, but according to a songwriter in the know, the former 'NSYNC crooner is the inspiration for the teen sensation's upcoming album.

Songwriter Sean "The Pen "Garrett, who has been working with Bieber on the follow-up to the chart-ruling My World 2.0., spoke with Billboard about the direction for the teen superstar's forthcoming album, saying the project will feature more grown-up fare.

"What we're trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood," Garrett said of the project, which is also slated to feature production from hitmaker Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. "The one great thing about Justin Bieber is the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. So we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well. When Justin Timberlake went from the last album of *N Sync to his first solo album -- I want to say [we're aiming for] that level. That's the bar for the type of song, that level of 'Cry Me a River,' big records."

Garrett, who has crafted records for stars like Chris Brown and Bieber's mentor Usher, also said he's hard at work on Beyoncé's next project. However, the songwriter didn't divulge too much information, only revealing that he's "been working with her extremely hard ... she's my favorite."

While Garrett said the plan for his next outing is to angle Bieber toward a swiftly maturing audience, Bieber himself has refused to categorize his music, insisting to MTV News in December that he's just focused on creating quality records.

"Whatever comes out of my mouth is just what you guys are going to hear," Bieber explained of his hits. "I don't know, it's not a specific type of music. Whatever music I write, I wouldn't say I'm pop or R&B or country or anything: I would just say it's just good music,"
