'It's undeniable,' Travie McCoy says of the track that topped MTV News' Top 25 Songs of 2010.
By Jocelyn Vena
2010 had some great jams, and all week, MTV News has been counting down some of its best. Everything from Lady Gaga's "Telephone" and Rick Ross' "B.M.F. (Blowin' Money Fast)" to two of Kanye's West's killer My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy tracks, "Power" and "Runaway," made the top 10. But it was Usher's bombastic party jam "OMG" that rose to the top and came in at #1.
So what made that song such a party anthem? "Oh my God! That's exactly what I would say! Oh my God!" Pauly D joked about 2010's top party jam. "Dope, dope track. I love playing it. The crowd goes crazy when I play it. Usher's the man!"
Travie McCoy added: "It's a great song. It's undeniable, you know what I mean?"
"Dancing With the Stars" pro Lacey Schwimmer admitted that "OMG" was the track that got dancers, both professional and amateur, on the dance floor. "You guys got a great dance anthem," she said. "So be prepared for people who do not know how to dance just going to town!"
Producer Alex Da Kid gave props to will.i.am for the song's epic beat. "I love 'OMG.' I think it's definitely something different for Usher," he said. "And it still has all the dance performance elements Usher's known for, but it's something slightly different and done in a will.i.am kind of way, and it's different and that's why it connected to so many different people. It's a great song."
Celebrities also weighed in on their favorite jams of 2010, choosing everything from Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" and Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" to B.o.B and Hayley Williams' "Airplanes."
Why did you love "OMG" in 2010? Tell us in the comments!

Murphy is being courted by producer Will Smith and Sony Pictures to helm the reboot of the movie musical, according to Dealine.com.

With Will Smith looking to launch daughter Willow's film career with a remake of "Annie," it only makes sense that he would turn to the man who helped repopularize the musical genre for the American audience to help him. Enter "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy, who Deadline.com reports is in negotiations to direct the project.
In addition to his work with "Glee," Murphy is as highly regarded at Sony Pictures — the studio that's overseeing the "Annie" remake — as Smith is, which is likely what helped him land the gig. He directed this past summer's Julia Roberts drama "Eat, Pray, Love" for Sony, and the studio was so impressed with him that they signed a $5 million deal for him to direct another picture with the movie star. And Murphy's success with songs from musicals like "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Wicked" has led him to be courted to helm film versions of those productions as well.
Smith developed "The Karate Kid" with Sony as a star vehicle for his son Jaden, and its release last summer was considered a success. He followed up that '80s remake with the concept to do a new "Annie" flick with his daughter in the leading role. Though she has not had significant acting parts before (unlike Jaden, who made prominent appearances in "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still"), the 9-year-old has found success as a singer with her pop hit "Whip My Hair."
Negotiations with Murphy reportedly are still in their early stages, but it is clear that Smith and Sony are trying to get the film under way as quickly as possible. The idea for the "Annie" project was only announced last month, but if Murphy does come on board, don't be surprised if you hear the "Glee" kids singing "It's a Hard Knock Life" in the near future.
Do you think Ryan Murphy is a good choice to direct a new "Annie" movie? Share your opinion in the comments.

Could Ellen DeGeneres be headed to London for a certain springtime wedding?
Depends on exactly how many relatives Kate Middleton wants to invite to her April 29 nuptials to Prince William.
Turns out the royal bride-to-be and the talk-show host are distantly related. An examination of Kate's background revealed that they are 15th cousins, Ellen announced on her show on Feb. 10.
DeGeneres read a letter she received from the New England Genealogical Society, which had been at work mapping Kate's history as she prepares to join the royal family. The society determined that the two women are connected via a man named Sir Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne.
Fairfax, who lived from 1475 to 1520, was a castle owner in London and at one time served on an expedition with Henry VIII. As with most women of the era, little is known of his wife, except for the fact that she had 12 children. So far, Ellen hasn't followed in her footsteps, though Kate's future motherhood is almost certainly assured, it being her royal duty and all.
DeGeneres is thrilled about the connection and wants to know where Kate is registered, noting that she lives near both a Pier 1 and a Target. And seeing as the two are now cousins, Ellen is also stepping up to her family role.
"Let me know if you need me to plan the bachelorette party," she quipped, "because I found some straws that were shaped like…well never mind."
Should Ellen DeGeneres be invited to the royal wedding? Chime in below!

Murray faces manslaughter charges in the singer's death; his medical license has also been suspended.

Dr. Conrad Murray has been ordered to stand trial for manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
According to The Associated Press, Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor made the decision after a six-day preliminary hearing during which witnesses testified that the Houston cardiologist administered a dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol and other sedatives then left the pop star unmonitored.
During the course of the hearing, testimony was given that Murray ordered hundreds of bottles of propofol in the months before Jackson's death. The AP report also cited the fact that the prosecutors concluded their case with testimony from two doctors who said Murray acted outside the standard of medical care when he administered propofol and failed to provide proper care.
Other damning testimony included that of Jackson's bodyguard, who said that on the morning of the singer's death, it appeared that Murray didn't know how to administer CPR to his dying patient.
Judge Pastor also granted a request by the California Medical Board to suspend Murray's license to practice medicine in the state. Pastor said he made the decision in the interest of public safety and ordered Murray to notify every district in which he practices of the decision within 24 hours. Murray has clinics in Houston and Las Vegas.
Murray, 57, has pleaded not guilty, and his attorneys have argued that he did not give Jackson anything that should have killed him. Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted.
